site specific sound installation, 2015
367h  long

/ realized for exhibition ‘’Imaginary Bauhaus museum’’ as part of the 2. Herbstsalon at Maxim Gorki Theater /

” Time is what keeps everything from happening at once.”
                                              John Archibald Wheeler, theoretical physicist

The voice recording of title of the exhibition ‘’Imaginary Bauhaus Museum’’ is manipulated in an audio recording by slowing down the speed and stretching it to 367 hours, the equivalent of the duration of the exhibition from its opening until closing. Through applying the laws of physics this audio record becomes inaudible to the human ear because of its low frequency. The sound is following exhibition by its length and gets the same status as something imagined, because even though it is present it becomes real just as much as observer let it in his mind.
